Terms and conditions of accommodation

Ada Marina Chalet is not a luxury hotel, however every day we take more steps to create a comfortable stay while offering affordable prices to our clients. We could best describe ourselves as a country hotel. We are located on the hill of Turbaco, in a wooded area surrounded by other properties, a kilometer and a half from the main road between Cartagena and Turbaco, entering through Tres Marías on a gravel road that, despite not being in the best condition, allows access for small cars and motorcycles. We have electricity, we get water from the subsoil and we get gas for cooking through cylinder refills. Our manager speaks Spanish, English and Portuñol, the rest of our staff only speaks Spanish, but is studying English in order to provide a better service to foreigners who visit us. When you arrive you will find some areas of the hotel still under construction, but most of the areas for your enjoyment are already finished. There will always be someone at the hotel, however please note that our host finishes his duties at 9pm, so any service you require after this time must be scheduled. Our commitment is to always be ready to provide good service to all our visitors.

- Hotel insurance with Seguros Generales Suramericana SA,

- Exclusive use of the private area of the accommodation you chose (Only includes the arrangement of the main bed when rented for couples),

- Power plant (in case of power failure the plant only supports lights, power outlets and fans).

- Daily cleaning of rooms if desired.

*Private mesh: Included in the Dencho, Chochin and Cielo suites

*Private living room and kitchen: This is only included in the Cielo chalet.

- Drinking water (water is extracted from the subsoil),

- Heater in the Jacuzzi (See Heater Rates paragraph),

- We do not have TV in the hotel or in the rooms,

- The power plant does not support Jacuzzis or air conditioners in case of power failure,

- Transportation to the site,

- Hot water in the showers,

- Any bar and restaurant consumption not specified in the rate,

- Room service breakfast has an additional charge.

- National sales tax (19%) for residents in Colombia.

- Check in (Arrival) : 3:00 PM

- Check out : 12:00PM

- Late check-out : until 7:00 PM (There is an extra charge of 30% of the rate value)

- Breakfast : 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM
- Pool : 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM (After 9 PM you must leave the pool without exception for your safety, but you can remain in the social area)
- Bar : 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

- Restaurant : 5:00 to 8:00 PM (If you would like lunch, please let us know in advance)

- General attention : until 9:00 PM. If you need to arrive later, please let us know so we can accommodate you after this time.

This policy applies to reservations made directly with us or through our website. If you made your reservation through another channel such as Booking.com or Airbnb, the policy described on those platforms applies.

- We have a menu of pasta, pizza, grilled meats and hamburgers.

- At the bar we have cocktails, beers, liquors and non-alcoholic beverages.

- People who rent Cielo can bring food to prepare in the kitchen of that chalet.

- If you bring bottles, we will ask you to please take them back with you, as it is difficult for us to obtain them.

- Corkage: You can bring and consume your alcoholic beverages in your private area. If you wish to enter the social area, you must pay a corkage fee of 40% of our sales prices. If you are not on our list, a reference price on the internet is taken and multiplied by 66% to establish the corkage fee.

Different rates with/without heater: our jacuzzis are equipped with an electric heater, due to its high energy consumption and to avoid affecting the rates we leave it to the guest's discretion whether they wish to use this service or not. You can request this service in our reservation number for an additional value of $100,000 per night. This will be turned on for a period of no more than 3 hours or until the water temperature is to the guest's liking.

Upon check-in, our host will hand over the chalet with all its contents inventoried and in good condition. You must hand over the corresponding deposit. At the end of the reservation, the inventory will be carried out again in your presence to confirm the condition of the contents, and then the deposit will be returned, deducting the value of any damage if necessary. If the damage is not easily quantifiable, you must wait to receive a repair quote.

In order to maintain a reasonable use of resources and be aware of the impact this has on the environment, we thank you during your stay:
- Do not leave the jacuzzi motors on all the time or after going to sleep.
- Do not leave the air conditioning on with the doors open or while you are not in the hotel.
- Do not leave water sources open, in the area this is a scarce resource.

Some areas such as the parking lot and others are still under construction. We will always ask the staff working there to not make noise when we have guests. If you feel uncomfortable with any work being done on site, please let us know so we can take action. We thank you in advance for your understanding.

It is important to take into account safety in decorations to avoid risks such as damage to infrastructure or fires, therefore:

- All candles must be inside a censer or candle holder

- Do not throw petals or papers into the jacuzzi, as these can be sucked in and damage the motor.

- Decorations with tapes, silicones or other adhesives that may damage the paint on the wall or ceiling are not permitted.

- Please note that excessive decorations that generate a lot of waste may result in an additional cleaning fee.

- Ada Marina is not responsible for any decorative furniture left by third parties.

- Decorations have an estimated logistics time between 45 min to 1:20 min

The Jacuzzis, the pool and the hotel's water in general are obtained underground. It is normal to find some sediment or sand on the bottom or walls of the Jacuzzi.

This water is constantly treated with chlorine. If you have a reservation for more than one night, the water in the jacuzzi will be changed based on the needs and condition of the water. Please do not ask us to change the water if it is in good condition for use.

- Pets are not allowed.

- Speakers are not allowed. If you bring a speaker, it will be confiscated at check-in and returned at check-out.
- Smoking is prohibited in the chalets. Fine of COP$500,000. There are designated smoking areas in the hotel.
- The use of fireworks or flying objects is prohibited. Fine: COP$500,000.
- Use of firearms is prohibited. A fine of COP$500,000 and you will be asked to leave the establishment without a refund.
- The use of drugs or illicit substances is prohibited. You will be asked to leave the establishment without a refund.
- It is prohibited to make advertising videos or record any content for commercial purposes in the chalet without prior authorization.
- Entry is prohibited to persons who are not registered at the time of booking.
- Outdoor areas are monitored by cameras. Tampering is prohibited.

- It is prohibited to throw any objects into the hot tubs. They can ignite and damage the pumping system.

- Respect and behave in all areas of the hotel.
- Try not to bring plastics as much as possible. And dispose of waste in the appropriate bin.
- Observe and follow safety regulations.
- Do not climb on the mesh with shoes on.
- Bathe before using the jacuzzi and pool.
- Return your accommodation in optimal conditions.

- For those over 18 only. Our pool is not suitable for children.

Ada Marina Chalet is committed to promoting Law 679 of 2001, which establishes standards to prevent and counteract child exploitation, pornography, and sex tourism, in accordance with Article 44 of the Colombian Constitution. In this regard, it is our duty to inform all our users and clients of Article 17 of Law 679/2001: The sexual exploitation and abuse of minors is punishable by law. Ada Marina Chalet rejects exploitation, pornography, and other forms of child sex tourism and contributes to compliance with the law.

The national sales tax (19%) is charged to Colombian citizens regardless of the length of their stay and for foreigners who stay 60 consecutive days or more. The tax also applies to all travelers who are not classified as tourists visiting the country for other reasons.
